Developed and manufactured by Danish biotech company Lactobio, Bak Probiotic Skincare is based on our own research into new, probiotic bacteria strains and a PhD collaboration with Bispebjerg Hospital's dermatological department on skin problems related to Staphylococcus aureus.
In the process of developing Bak Probiotic Skincare, our team of microbiologists, biotechnologists and biochemists have isolated more than 1000 new lactic acid bacteria. From this selection our patented strain Lactobacillus plantarum LB244R has been selected for a superior ability to balance the microbiom and the pathogenic skin bacterium Staphylococcus aureus.
